Meet the Interns!

The interns help create a welcoming environment for the K-State Wesley. Each of them have different roles. The intern positions are year long commitments. Applications to become an intern are available each spring.




Sarah Stewart 

Sarah is the outreach intern and monitors all of the marketing activities for the Wesley. She hails from Manhattan, Kansas, and is majoring in Fine Arts with plans on continuing her education in Architecture and Design in Graduate School. Sarah organizes all of the campus involvement activities, including the Activities Fairs and Open Houses. She also works with Wesley social media on our Facebook page and provides facilities tours to visiting guests. Email Sarah.




Kaitlyn Ruiz 

Kaitlyn is the worship intern and coordinates all of the worship related activities. She is the worship leader and pianist at our Tuesday Night Worship. Kaitlyn hails from Topeka, Kansas, and is majoring in Medical Laboratory Science at K-State. Kaitlyn plans all of the weekly worship schedules, including the songs, singers, and musicians. Shiana Tyler

Shiana is the missions intern and is responsible for all mission efforts in the Manhattan area, including the volunteer work at the Ogden Friendship House after-school program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She also works with national and international missions and is currently helping plan and coordinate our Spring Break mission trips! We have one team headed to Anapra, Mexico to help start community gardens, and another team headed to Port Arthur, TX with a coalition of other Kansas and Nebraska campus ministries to do hurricane relief. Shiana is from Phoenix City, Alabama and is majoring in Theater at K-State. Email Shiana.
