Summer Opportunities

One of the best things you can do during college is to spend summer serving in a ministry setting. It can truly be life changing! Here is a list of summer ministry opportunities that we know about. If you have other opportunities to add to this list, please let us know.

Camp Horizon
Camp Horizon is a United Methodist church camp located 3.5 hours south of Manhattan in Arkansas City, Kansas. Each summer, the camp hires a dozen college students to be camp counselors. It is a great way to gain experience working with children and youth. Also it is a great opportunity for students unsure where God is leading them to explore and discover your calling. Go to their website at http://www.horizoncenter.org/camp-counselor-page/

Micah Corps – Great Plains Conference

This experience helps young adults deepen their walk with God, learn about connecting their faith with social justice, and practice leadership skills throughout the conference.
