Serve

Serve

Our faith is not just about us. Jesus calls us to make a difference in the world.

Serving Others
Whether it is chalking the sidewalks with positive messages, handing out water bottles in Aggieville at Fake Paddy’s Day, or joining in service projects with our local churches, we will give back together. About once a month Wesley Night on Thursdays includes an opportunity to come together and serve.

Seeking Justice

Part of giving back is working toward a world that is just and equitable for all of God’s people. Whether it’s learning about justice organizations on campus, growing at Wesley Night, or advocacy on campus, we will seek justice together.

In Fall 2023, we had a Good Trouble small group that focused on how our faith connects to social justice. Our Fall 2023 retreat learned about asset-based community development in the Argentine neighborhood of Kansas City, KS, and we also learned about the Indigenous boarding schools and the injustice surrounding them. Over Winter Break we took a Justice Encounter trip to Montgomery and Selma, AL to learn about the Civil Rights Movement.
